EXCITED DELIRIUM MORTIS (EDM) According to recent studies, 91 to 99 percent of Undead Survivors may at one time or another suffer from Excited Delirium Mortis. Excited Delirium Mortis is typically brought on by the stimulation of an already activated or agitated sensory organ. Most often, Excited Delirium Mortis is triggered when the already stimulated hunger actuator portion of the brain is further motivated by the smell or sight of a possible food source. Signals from the sensory organ are amplified during this phenomenon, causing the Undead Survivor to endanger themselves, stopping at nothing to harvest their meal. In an Excited Delirium Mortis state, the Undead Survivor is undoubtedly a danger to themselves and others, and must be protected.
COMPOUNDING EFFECTS OF HYPER-VIGILANCE (HV) As in other strains, although rare, HV sufferers are prone to enhanced Exited Delirium Mortis episodes. These episodes are typically brought on by the immediate possibility of harvesting. HV sufferers experiencing EDM are to be considered dangerous and cannot be managed with conventional methods. These sufferers are highly mobile, simulate limited problem solving skills, and are decidedly assertive. However, due to the amplified efficiency of the transformation, and the increased glandular activity and rapid loss of bodily fluids, HV sufferers experiencing EDM deteriorate quickly without regular replenishment. They typically burnout rather than fade away, and experience increased rates of mummification disorder due to their loss of fluid. An HV sufferer without regular replenishment may become completely incapacitated within a week, or sooner.
Please be aware of these developing problems and maintain a proper safety posture.
